Kyiv residents get second night of sleep after air defense eliminates all Russian targets
Russia once again launched missiles and drones on Ukraine overnight, but none of them managed to reach the capital, Kyiv military administration reported on Telegram on June 4.
"Our monstrous neighbour is shouting to the whole world about its faith and love for God. But in reality, even on the Holy Trinity, Moscow's satanists do not stop killing civilians. Last night, the rushists attacked Ukraine with missiles launched, as usual, from the Caspian Sea by Tu-95MS strategic bombers and with UAVs," the message reads.
No single enemy target managed to get to the capital. They all were downed on the distant approaches to Kyiv.
"Kyivans haven't heard explosions overhead for the second night in a row. Sincere gratitude to our air defence for the saved lives! Take care of yourselves," Kyiv military administration head, Serhiy Popko, said.
Russia conducted nearly 20 air attacks on the Ukrainian capital in the past month alone. Almost every night explosions left citizens sleepless.
Occupying Russian troops launched a missile barrage at Kyiv overnight on June 2. Over 30 enemy aerial targets were intercepted over the capital.
It was the sixth strike on Kyiv in six days.
The previous day, ten ballistic and cruise missiles attacked the capital, but all of them were shot down by Ukrainian air defence. Falling debris caused casualties and damage in several of the capital's districts. A child and two women were killed, while 16 more people were injured. A children's hospital, residential buildings, a kindergarten, schools and cars were damaged.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
