Government building damaged, Vnukovo airport suspends traffic in 2nd Moscow drone attack

The Russian capital of Moscow came under drone attack for the second time in 72 hours on August 1.
At least two drones were sighted in the city, with one falling near the site of the July 30 attack on the IQ Quarter tower. The building is believed to house three Russian ministries.
At present, there are no reports of any casualties.
Another UAV was shot down over Odintsovo, near Moscow. The sound of anti-aircraft fire was heard near the village of Cheshkovo in the Naro-Fomin district, say eyewitnesses.
Russia’s Defense Ministry said that two drones were shot down in Moscow’s suburbs overnight, with one being overcome using radio-electronic warfare. This drone hit the same tower in Moscow that was damaged by a drone two days ago, the ministry said.
For the second time in three days, Moscow’s Vnukovo airport had air traffic suspended.
Russia blamed Ukraine for the July 30 attack, adding that it had managed to “repel the attack.”
