German military has no strategic objections to Ukraine’s counteroffensive – Ukrainian Ambassador

command has no objections regarding the strategic planning and execution of
Ukraine’s ongoing counteroffensive, the Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany, Oleksii
Makeiev, said in a comment to news agency Ukrinform on July 26.
According to the diplomat, "at the strategic level, there is no dissatisfaction with the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Furthermore, Ukraine maintains ongoing communication with the German Defense Ministry, allowing for the exchange of expertise and advice."
“We often approach our German partners with requests to conduct so-called After-Action Reviews – a standard procedure performed post-operations or after each day of training, to evaluate what was executed correctly and what wasn't,” said Makeiev.
“We highly value their advice on what actions to take and how to proceed. This happens at both the tactical and strategic levels and contributes to the preparedness of our Armed Forces.”
The ambassador further emphasized that Berlin is aware of the situation regarding Ukraine's insufficient armament, specifically when it comes to armored vehicles, air defense systems, and aircraft.
“Therefore, when discussing Kampf der verbundenen Waffen (combined arms warfare), we must recognize that unfortunately, we are lacking in areas such as long-range artillery and air superiority,” Makeiev explains.
“Given these conditions, our actions are fully understood and supported by the higher (German) command.”
On July 25, Bild reported that an internal Bundeswehr report criticized the tactics utilized by the Ukrainian military during the counteroffensive, particularly the approach of pushing forwards using isolated small infantry squads.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
