Floods damage homes and bridges in Lviv Oblast following rainstorm

Heavy rainfall in Lviv Oblast flooded some settlements, damaged bridges and washed away roads on June 10, the head of the Lviv Oblast State Administration Maksym Kozytskyi reported on Telegram.
Two districts of the region — Drohobych and Stryi — were affected.
The most difficult situation is in the village of Skhidnytsia, where the Skhidnychanka River burst its banks due to the heavy rain. The water level has risen by 1.5 meters, and the banks have been washed away along its entire length. Six streets, 100 houses, 10 hotels, 11 shops, 15 cars, and five local bridges were flooded in the village.
Part of the settlement was left without gas and water supply. Rescuers evacuated 45 people, including eight children. Three bridges in neighboring villages were also damaged, leaving 16 settlements cut off.
In Stryi district, the roadway in Pidhorodtsi and Urych was washed away, and traffic was blocked in the most dangerous areas. Detours are in place.
Sixty people, including 44 children, were evacuated from the Tustan reserve. A sports tourism championship was taking place there.
As of this morning, the rainfall has eased according to regional authorities, but continues. Water levels are receding naturally.
There are no reported casualties or injuries and authorities say the situation is under control, with rescue efforts ongoing.
