Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhya Oblast military administration reports explosion of Russian ammunition depot in occupied Melitopol
The Russian ammunition depot in temporarily occupied city of Melitopol “blew up” on March 7, along with the supply truck, Zaporizhzhya Oblast military administration head Ivan Fedorov reported in his March 8 Telegram post.
“Yesterday there was a ‘bavovna’ in Melitopol,’ he wrote.
Explosions in Russia or Russian-held territory far behind the frontlines are popularly referred to in Ukraine as “bavovna”, or “cotton” in English.
According to Fedorov, explosions were also recorded overnight near the Russian military base in nearby occupied Tokmak.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
