Russian base reportedly struck at machine-building plant in occupied Horlivka, says Mariupol mayor adviser
An explosion occurred in temporarily occupied Horlivka, Donetsk
Oblast on Aug. 11, Petro Andriushchenko, an adviser to the mayor of Mariupol,
reported on Telegram.
Preliminary reports indicate the strike targeted a
machine-building plant where Russian forces are based,
“Horlivka. Preliminary – an attack on the occupiers’ base,”
Andriushchenko said.
The machine-building plant, which serves as a base for
Russian troops along with their equipment and warehouses, was reportedly
attacked.
Andriushchenko clarified that the plant had already been hit
on July 27, 2022, with similarly vivid results.
A video showing a column of smoke over the city was also
posted online. There has been no official confirmation of the strike by the
Ukrainian Armed Forces.
