SBU initiates criminal probe after uncovering eavesdropping device in Gen. Zaluzhnyi’s office
Ukraine’s SBU security service has launched a criminal probe following the discovery of reportedly nonfunctional eavesdropping devices in a location that may be frequented by top Ukrainian general Valerii Zaluzhnyi, the SBU announced on Dec. 17.
Contrary to reports suggesting the device, colloquially named a bug, was located in Zaluzhnyi's office, the SBU clarified that it was discovered in a location that could have been potentially used for the general’s work in the future.
The seized device will undergo expert examination.
On Dec. 17, Ukrainian news outlet RBC-Ukraine reported that a “bug" had been discovered in Zaluzhny's office. Subsequently, NV sister publication Ukrainska Pravda corroborated this information, revealing that similar devices were found among the general’s belongings.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
