Ukrainian losses from war well below Russian ones, Minister Reznikov says

Ukraine's military losses are far lower than the Russian ones, Ukraine's Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov said in an interview with Spanish outlet La Razon on April 16.
"Of course, we have losses as we are at war,” he said.
“But they are crucially lower than the Russian ones. I can't give you a figure, but I can assure you that the total number is less than the death toll from an earthquake in Turkey (this February).”
According to the latest reports, the number of deaths from recent earth-quakes in Turkey and Syria surpassed 50,000.
Reznikov noted that Ukrainian commanders see keeping soldiers alive as their priority, while Russia uses its troops as cannon fodder.
"It is meat grinder tactics,” Reznikov explained.
“They don't care. Russia loses 500 people killed and wounded per day in Bakhmut alone. It is a battalion of Wagner PMC mercenaries and former criminals a day. This is barbaric. It's barbarism.”
Russian losses in the full-scale invasion of Ukraine as of April 16 are esti-mated at over 182,000 soldiers, the General Staff reported.
