Child evacuation mandated in two areas of Zaporizhzhya Oblast, says deputy PM

A mandatory evacuation of children will be carried out in two frontline districts of Zaporizhzhya Oblast, according to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories, Iryna Vereshchuk, on Aug. 28.
“We are convening a meeting of the evacuation headquarters today, during which the mandatory evacuation of children from two districts within Zaporizhzhya Oblast – Vasylivskyi and Polohivskyi districts – will be officially declared,” Vereshchuk said.
Vereshchuk clarified that the evacuation will take place in five populated areas with a total of 54 children to be transported.
The mandatory evacuation of children is already underway in the Vovchanska community of Kupyansk district, Kharkiv Oblast.
She added that 89 children in Donetsk Oblast are currently awaiting evacuation.
