Renowned United24 ambassadors released touching video message on Ukraine’s independence day
Liev Schreiber, Timothy Snyder, Ivanna Sakhno, and other renowned UNITED24 ambassadors have offered a unique tribute to Ukraine's Independence Day by reciting Volodymyr Sosiura’s poem "Love Ukraine" in Ukrainian.
The touching video message, shared by the fundraising platform UNITED24, features an impressive lineup of celebrities including U.S. actress Catherine Winnick, astronaut Scott Kelly, Academy Award-winning director Michel Hazanavicius, U.S. actor Liev Schreiber, actress Ivanna Sakhno, Supernatural star Misha Collins, soccer player Andriy Shevchenko, boxer Oleksandr Usyk, and actor Mark Strong. They each took their turn reciting verses from the evocative poem "Love Ukraine" by Volodymyr Sosiura.
"In times of joy and moments of happiness, loving Ukraine is easy. But in times of adversity, only true friends wholeheartedly support our country," the UNITED24 foundation noted in comments to the video.
Every one of the ambassadors plays an active role in supporting Ukraine, rallying support for various initiatives. During their visits to Ukraine, they have witnessed firsthand the devastation brought by Russia's actions on the country.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
