Russians amass troops and equipment near Borova for possible attack

Russians have escalated their troop presence to 10,000 and deployed 450 military vehicles from Raihorodka to Novovodyane, positioning for a potential offensive on Borova in Kharkiv Oblast, the DeepState monitoring group said on Telegram on June 18.
Ukraine's 3rd Assault Brigade currently holds the defense in this sector, but DeepState analysts noted the forces are outnumbered, with Russians deploying additional units and conducting intense assault operations along the entire frontline.
The Russians have mobilized forces from the 20th Army, including the 3rd and 144th divisions, supported by the 236th artillery brigade and 11 regiments.
Irregular army units, such as Storm V, Black Mamba, Fixiki, and the Patriot PMC, have also been engaged. The BARS-14 unit has been deployed to "maintain order."
Over the past three weeks, the Russian army has been preparing, seeking weaknesses in the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defenses, the analysts said. The Russians continue to assault positions held by the 3rd Assault Brigade. Despite Russian troop losses, they are conscripting two to four hundred new recruits weekly.
"This is sufficient for both replenishing and expanding their forces," the DeepState said.
"So far, the 'meat grinder' tactic hasn't yielded significant results due to the strong brigade in the area. However, it is important to emphasize that the forces are not evenly matched."
Russia aims to replicate last year's strategy of initially advancing towards the Nadiya-Novoyehorivka line, followed by targeting Pershotravneve-Cherneshchyna, the analysts said.
