Blogger claims Russian soldiers had prior knowledge of attack on Kakhovka dam, evacuated in advance – HUR

Crimean collaborator and blogger Alexander Talipov has dismissed as fake posts by Russian military bloggers claiming that Russian servicemen were left stranded on Dnipro River islands after an explosion breached the dam at Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant, releasing a deluge of water downstream.
Talipov claimed that all Russian servicemen had left the islands before the dam was blown up, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine or HUR reported on Telegram on June 10.
“Our guys have contacted me. Everyone has left the islands. There was no one there by 3 a.m. There have been no losses. Therefore, all the information being published in this context is a shameless lie,” wrote Talipov.
HUR said that Talipov’s statements provide conclusive evidence that the Russian military had prior knowledge of the imminent attack and had ordered the evacuation in advance.
Despite Talipov’s claims, numerous videos circulating in social media in the wake of the dam breach showed Russian soldiers wading through floodwater, climbing trees to escape the water, and being rescued by boat by other Russian soldiers, indicating that some front-line units were not informed about the plan to blow the dam.
Nevertheless, some Russian units were observed retreating from the banks of the Dnipro River ahead of the dam breach, Ukrainian intelligence reported earlier.
The HUR said that after the wide publication of the information provided by Talipov, he will likely be labeled as a “public enemy” or an “agent of Ukrainian special services,” as has traditionally been done in such cases.
However, the HUR noted that the amount of such testimony is increasing, and these reports could serve as additional evidence in future tribunals.
Talipov, a pro-Russian blogger from Crimea, is the founder and author of the Web resource “Crimean Smersh,” which is involved in the persecution of pro-Ukrainian residents of the peninsula.
Earlier, Andriy Yusov, a HUR representative, stated that the occupiers had rigged the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant with explosives immediately after capturing it, and said he was confident that the order to blow it up was personally given by Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
Substantial evidence has been reported implicating the military and political leadership of Russia in the attack on the dam of Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant.
Yusov also claimed that Russia had been planning to blow up the dam for a long time, and that it had not been a spontaneous decision.
