Wizards at UEFA’s press team somehow mix up Zorya Luhansk’s logo with Moscow Red Army

Zorya Luhansk crashed out of UEFA’s Conference League after suffering a resounding 4-1 defeat to Belgium’s Gent, but UEFA’s press service threw salt into the team’s wounds.
The professionals working UEFA’s press service, responsible for publishing all match day results, somehow mistook Zorya’s logo with that from the enemy – Moscow’s CSKA.
While the wizards at UEFA quickly deleted the post, the organization’s blunder did not go unnoticed.
This incident follows the widely criticized decision to not go to VAR in a crucial moment of Ukraine’s final UEFA EURO 2024 qualifying match vs Italy last month.
