Usyk-Fury clash: Heavyweight showdown halted, rescheduled for May 18

Oleksandr Usyk, the world champion in the heavyweight division holding the WBA, WBO, IBO, and IBF titles, is set to face Tyson Fury, the WBC belt holder, in May this year, however, the bout was postponed from Feb. 18 to May 18 due to a cut sustained by the British boxer during sparring in the training camp, the BoxingScene reported on Feb. 2.
Turki Alalshikh, the fight’s organizer, revealed a new poster for the bout, which will determine the undisputed world champion in the division.
“May so May, I’m on my way,” Usyk wrote on his Instagram page.
