Ukraine dramatically triumphs over Slovakia, secures first Euro 2024 win

Ukraine’s national team secured a 2-1 victory over Slovakia
in the second round of the European Football Championship group stage in
Germany on June 21.
Slovaks opened up the score on 17th minute, in the 34th
minute, Ukraine could have equalized the score, but Tymchyk hit the post.
In the 54th minute, Ukrainians managed to score a goal.
Zinchenko shot to Shaparenko, who made a touch and scored in the corner.
Ukrainian footbal superstars Yaremchuk and Mudryk ran out on
a promising counterattack in the 75th minute, which ended with the latter
hitting the post.
Ukrainians took the lead in the 80th minute of the match.
Yaremchuk received a pass from Shaparenko and pushed the ball past the
goalkeeper from close range.
Slovakia launched a final assault, but failed to score a
goal.
In the final match of the group stage, on June 26, Ukraine
will play against Belgium, and Slovakia will meet Romania.
