National team captain Yarmolenko rages after Russian attack on his home city

National team captain and Dynamo Kyiv star is incensed with Russia’s latest attack on Ukrainian civilians after seven people died and over 100 were injured in a Russian rocket attack on Chernihiv city center of Aug. 19.
The former standout at Borussia Dortmund and West Ham United posted a video of the missile’s moment of impact on social media with the caption:
“Stay on together, my darling. F*cking Russia.”
Yarmolenko started his career in Chernihiv, where he scored four goals in nine appearances for Desna in 2006-07, before moving to Dynamo Kyiv.
Olha Kharlan, Ukraine’s Olympic champion fencer, also reacted to the deadly attack on Chernihiv city center, passing along her condolences and saying to Russians:
“What a brute.”
After a previous Russian attack on Odesa, she had told Russians that “there is a separate cauldron in hell” waiting for them.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
