Silpo opens first supermarket in Yavoriv with traditional glassblowing-inspired design

The Silpo retail chain, part of the Fozzy Group, announced the opening of its first supermarket in Yavoriv, Lviv Oblast, in a press release on Nov. 24.
The supermarket with a retail area of 1,020 square meters showcases a design dedicated to glassblowing.
"Have you heard of Hutnytstvo glassblowing?” Silpo asks.
“It was this craft that inspired the design of the supermarket. Such glassmaking, known for its color and transparency, has a rich history in various regions of Ukraine. Lviv glassblowers, in particular, have played a pivotal role in the recent development of Ukrainian glassblowing."
The shopping hall features a sculpture of a glassblower at work, artisanal tools that have changed little for centuries, and even a glass furnace. The store also has a column of bottles that not only supports the ceiling but also emphasizes the theme of ecological recycling.
The store has five cash registers and five self-checkout registers.
Silpo is one of the largest retail chains of grocery supermarkets in Ukraine, currently operating 312 stores nationwide.
