"Putin, bring your troops home" - UK Foreign Secretary says at UN Security Council

“We cannot allow this war to go on for another 500 days," he stressed.

Cleverly added that the UN General Assembly has repeatedly called for peace based on the principles of the UN Charter, as well as the common belief that force does not equal law.

"President Zelenskyy’s 10-point peace plan shows the way forward," the diplomat said.

“Ukraine wants peace. We want peace. The whole world wants peace.”

Cleverly also called on Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to withdraw Russian troops from Ukraine.

"Mr. Putin, bring your troops home, end this war now," Cleverly urged.

Over the past day, 710 Russian troops were eliminated in Ukraine. In total, Russia's personnel losses since the beginning of the full-scale invasion have exceeded 239,000 troops.

According to The Times, British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly may be appointed to replace Ben Wallace, the Defense Secretary who is to resign during the next Cabinet reshuffle in September.
