A queue formed at a Gazprom Neft gas station in Yegoryevsk, as traffic jams clogged roads to other stations in the area.
Meanwhile, gasoline prices are on the rise, though not at all gas stations, reporters noted. The average price of a liter of gasoline at some stations was no more than 72 rubles (98 cents), while at others, it exceeded 85 rubles ($1.15).
June 18 attack on Moscow
A massive drone attack targeted the Russian capital on the morning of June 18. Large-scale fires and heavy smoke columns were observed in the city, particularly in the Kapotnya district near Moscow Oil Refinery.
This marks the second attack on the facility in the past two days.
Moscow Oil Refinery was also attacked by Ukrainian drones on June 16. As noted by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the UAVs damaged the "heart of the plant" — a key primary oil refining unit.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the General Staff confirmed the follow-up strike on the refinery, located approximately 15 kilometers from the Kremlin. According to the military command, the attack caused large-scale fires in at least five hotspots within the facility, with oil refining units and the tank farm ablaze.
The processing capacity of the Moscow Oil Refinery exceeds 12 million tons of oil per year. The plant is actively involved in supplying the Russian army, the General Staff emphasized.
